But Ear (1) was just the start. This summer we've released Phone (1), our debut smartphone and the centre of our hugely ambitious consumer tech ecosystem. Launch week saw us trending on UK Twitter, clocking up YouTube views in the millions and securing press coverage in thousands of leading titles.

The Role:

Following ear (1) and phone (1) launch, Nothing has acquired a unique brand positioning within the consumer tech industry resonating, not only amongst early tech adopters, but also across a more cultural savvy and creative audience within the art, music and fashion spaces. With artists like Swedish House Mafia being part of Nothing’s investors and renowned designers using our products, Nothing is looking for its next Cultural Marketing Director to develop and implement a new strategy to further reinforce our brand awareness and affinity across the creative audience. The successful candidate should have a thorough cultural knowledge and understanding across art, fashion and music and a proven track record of developing strategies and successfully executing against. With a strong bias to action and output, along with careful consideration over spending, we are looking for an experienced leader that will also be able to also manage and grow a team. This role will report into the Head of Marketing and will have two direct reports to start with.


  • Define Nothing’s Cultural Marketing strategy and corresponding roadmap while defining what success looks like and tracking towards it;
  • Liaise with other marketing departments, such as PR and Digital Marketing, to ensure plans are being integrated across all of our channels;
  • Become a cultural thought leader across the organisation, championing best practices and ensuring Nothing is always ahead of the curve;
  • Partner up with leading brands, media outlets and artists within art, fashion and music industries leveraging their audience to further build Nothing brand awareness and affinity across the creative audience;
  • Lead and develop Cultural Marketing team members while ensuring clear processes and frameworks are being implemented maximising team’s output efficiency.


  • Over 12 years’ experience;
  • Proven track record of executing successful campaigns within the art, fashion and music industries driving concrete impact and results;
  • Thorough understanding of the art, fashion and music industries and corresponding latest trends with established relationships with thoughts leaders across each of those segments;
  • Strong managerial experience with careful attention to processes and frameworks aimed at continuously maximising team’s output efficiency;
  • Solution-driven with a strong bias to action to get things done, with a high level of autonomy and quality standards;
  • Thorough understanding of all marketing verticals and with a proven track record of successfully executing 360° marketing campaigns.
